These boots were made for.......standing?

I wear my boots all year long (shorts, dresses, shirts.......really ALL year long), so they are always on full "display" in my closet. Before I learned this little diddy, my storage method was just a pile-o-boots but now, they are always organized and easy to find.
Save up your wine bottles, then just slide them in the boots and stand up......that's it.

There you have it.
Boots that stand up straight so you can take a peek at them instead of digging through a messy pile at the bottom of the closet.

Chop Chop.

My friend Cassie reminded me of this little tip a few weeks ago an I just remembered to post it.

Using chop sticks for your gardening or potted plants is cheap (often free)and easy. Whether you use them to poke holes in hardened soil for water to seep in, using them as climbing and support stakes for your crawlers, or posting herb labels, the uses for chop sticks in your gardening are endless.

NOTE:
I know I haven't posted any thing in 2 weeks, but I'm hoping with a little spare time this weekend I'll be able to post a few updates to the list, a tutorial or 2, and some pics from some more beautiful places and great times.

So icy.

I've never thought this was an overly brilliant idea, but this past week, after a third person commend on this little method, I thought I would share.

The ice machine in our freezer hasn't worked since we moved into the house 2 years ago. So I keep these handy dandy ice trays full, and when ever I get a chance I dump them into the bucket and refill them.
And there you go. A full ice bucket all the time!!!
