LOVED the 1st and 2nd. I liked the last one as well, but it didn't grab me like the first 2 did. I can't wait for the movie to come out in march!!!!!!!

Round up: The Hunger Games
If you haven't read the book I'm not going to tell the story or spoil the excitement, but every one in my office read the complete series and we all got super into it!!!
I've mentioned the book to a few of my friends out side of work, and was pleasantly surprised to find that quite a few of them enjoyed it as much as I did!!
I was inspired by Katness and the fighters in the Districts and all the Delicious foods and extreme fashions of the folks in the capital.
All of the foods sounded awesome, but what stuck with me was Katness's favorite lamb stew with plumbs.
Particularly because I really love lamb, but only have it prepared at Indian restaurants. This one on Fictional Food looks delicious!!
This print is . I like the masculine tone with the blues and the clean fonts, and that it's not completely obvious that it's a reference to the book....but those who know.....know.
I tried to find where the print came from, but from pintrest.com it was just linked to a Tumbler account. If I come across it on Etsy, a will absolutely 100% add a link to it in here.
The Helmut Lang, Weathered Shearling Jacket is fantastic!!! It's a great mix of a classic feminine leather jacket, with the sleek and slender out line, but also a bit more modern with the off set zipper and wrap up hood.
I can easily see a sheath of arrows thrown over the shoulder here, as our heroine is running through the woods.
I really loved that Katness's little sister Prim, has a goat, not only for the money from selling the milk, but it also seems to be a bit of a pet too.
In England, some friends of my parents had goats at their house. They by no means we're living out in the farm lands, but rather in the middle of a pretty populated area, and constantly shouted the praise of their little ladies!!
One day, when we have a bit more space (for them to roam and to build them a little pin) I would LOVE to have a few goats!!!

Urban Farm Online - Which I will for sure be checking out again. A great resource for every thing from chicken coops to container planting.

In October, my boss and his lovely wife took Jace and I went to go see Furthur at the Hard Rock Hotel . For those who arn't aware Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, of the Greatful Dead.
My boss is a huge DeadHead, and the boyfriend and I enjoy the occasional jam band chill session as much as the next Gen X, psudo-hippy he invited us to go too (that's right, I'll tell my kids one day that I saw THE Grateful Deal). It really was so much fun, I saw so many fantastic spinner and twirler girl out fits and my hair smelled like nag champa for days.

48. Take the Hoover Dam tour.
I completely forgot that this was on my list!!! But while the fam was in town visiting we did the Hoover Dam tour and it was bad ass!!!
Walking around in some of the tunnels, Jace was a little cramped. I guess the dam workers in the 1920's and 1930's wern't quite 6'4!!!
I know you can see it from air planes, and you can see the size when you drive over it, but not until we got out and were walking around can you really take in the magnitude of it, it's absolutley incredible just how gargantuan the thing is.
Apparently, with all the concrete that was used, a 4 foot sidewalk around the earths equator could be built
and it would go around FOUR TIMES!!!!
The Dam was completed in 1936, right at the height of the art deco-movement, and you can really see the era while you're walking around in the visitor area and even when you're deep underground. All over the place is beautiful, shining, polished brass fixtures and railings, and any where with inscriptions or directions is done in this beautiful early 20th century font.
My uncle flipping the switch for a staircase that has more than 770 steps!!!!! It was so big that you couldn't see the top or the bottum!!

On a beautiful early autumn day, in lovely Camarillo, California on the even more breath taking Camarillo Ranch, the beautiful Devon Ann and dashing Kevin (didn't catch his middle name) we're married in front of a crowd of excited friends and family.
How's that for a fluffy opening?!?

Jace and I were lucky enough to be asked to be in the wedding, and boy oh boy was it a fun event.....and we didn't look to shabby either, if I do say so my self.

Pretty, delicate, lacy hand made embroidery is kind of the specialty,
but I've seen the cozy cuddly blankets and quilts too and they are AWESOME as well!

A fantastic read!!! Although my expierences with my own father were VERY different, I could easly relate to having a parent that that really dosen;t know how to love.
